On occasion there is a ‘geek’ night at the Muffin abode. Good food, better friends and so much technical conversation you can almost hear Einstein rolling in his grave.

When eyes start glazing (usually around nerd minute 25) all you’ll then hear is the tap-tap-tap of 5-9 keyboards, phones or iPods, a snort as someone finds a funny video and forwards it to everyone in the room and the sound of screams as some b-movie plays in the background. The ping of instant messengers is the new doorbell, the ring tone is the new peephole and one living room full of people is the new coffeehouse.

Nerd, nerd, nerd… dork, dork, dork… geek, geek, geek.
